What is Adobe After Effects?
Adobe After Effects is a 2.5D animation and visual effects software used in film, television, and online video. It's primarily a post-production tool for adding motion, effects, and composting multiple layers of media into one seamless scene.

How it Works
Unlike traditional animation, After Effects creates motion graphics by animating vector and raster artwork. You can also integrate real world media like photos and video to enhance your visuals.

Layer Compositing & Workflow
  • In Photoshop: Layers should be arranged, named, and organized. This will make it easier to animate them later in After Effects.
  • In After Effects: You import those elements (images, video, vectors, etc.) and animate or composite them.
  • After Effects doesn't embed files, it links to external media from programs like Photoshop and Illustrator, so keeping assets organized is crucial.

Practical
Before importing to After Effects, I had to organize the layers accordingly to continue making the effects later on.
