Reflection
Experience
This was my first semester at BDCM as an exchange student, and although I'm in my 3rd year back at my home university, it was my first real exposure to design-focused modules. Adjusting to Taylor's system was overwhelming at first, especially since my previous studies didn't cover this field, but some lecturers made the transition easier. My main focus shifted week to week, but Typography, DPI, IVN were the most demanding. Typography quickly became my favorite, it felt engaging, fun, and paired well with IVN, especially with both using Adobe Illustrator. I gained a lot of new skills, including digital tools, drawing, and time management. Feedback from Mr. Max was especially helpful- he stuck a great balance between kindness and clarity, and his teaching made the class one I'd happily take again. Most of all, I appreciated the creative freedom I had, and the chance to really explore and express my style in classroom setting.

Observations
One thing I noticed clearly over the 14 weeks was how much quicker I became at turning ideas into actual work. I wasn't second-guessing as much. I learned to trust my creative instincts and product more confidently. I also grew a lot more comfortable with Adobe tools, especially Illustrator, InDesign, and a bit of Photoshop.

Seeing how other students approached the same tasks in completely different ways was really inspiring. I especially valued the connection I had with one classmate, we'd often exchange ideas and give each other feedback, which helped both of us improve. It was refreshing to be in an environment where we could learn from one another so organically.

Findings
One of the biggest takeaways from this module was realizing how much thought and experimentation goes into a single final design. It's not about rushing to the finish, it's about exploring different options, making mistakes, and refining along the way. I walked away with a stronger admiration for design and the effort behind it. This experience has changed the way I see and approach visual work in general, I look at things more critically and creatively now.

Going forward, I'm excited to keep learning more about different design methods and practices. There's so much more to explore, and this module really sparked that curiosity in me.
